PRIMARY SCHOOL CONFERENCE ON NOVEMBER 20, 2011

KOTA BARU: SK Zainab 2 is set to be the first school in the country to host an international primary school conference here from Nov 20 to 22.

Aimed at building the children's leadership skills, the event is expected to draw participation from 200 pupils from the region.

Programme adviser Associate Professor Dr Wan Hazabbah Wan Hitam said schools nationwide were invited to send their pupils to the conference.

He said they should select those between 11 and 12 years old.

"We have already received confirmation from several schools in Brunei and Indonesia to attend the conference."

The conference, jointly organised by SK Zainab 2, its Parent-Teacher Association and Universiti Sains Malaysia Kubang Kerian campus, would be held at a resort in Pantai Cahaya Bulan here.

Dr Wan Hazabbah said there would be less emphasis on the pupils' study as the conference was geared towards developing their leadership potential.
